Oh, the Places You’ll Go was given to me by my family upon high school graduation. Inside, each of my family members wrote me a personal send off and wishes. It’s still one of my favorites because of the special messages inside my copy—even after this book knocked mine off the NY Times Bestseller list when graduation time rolled around…Even after all these years, that Dr. Suess still can strut his stuff (and sell lots of books!). A (very!) nice giveaway, Valerie! -heather

I am a school librarian and the lunch ladies at my school are having a Dr. Seuss celebration and want to give a book to every K-4 grade student. We are a school with a growing population of students on free or reduced lunch (40 %). I would love to be able to find 120 books to give to the lunch ladies so they can promote reading and literacy and give the kids a treat next week when they celebrate Dr. Seuss.

My all time favorite saying is:
“Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.”
It has carried me through many, many years :-)

I know a young family who would love to have this set for their children <3

Happy Birthday, RIP

So sad I’m a day late. I just found you while googling Dr. Seuss and his books ;-) . The books are not well known in Germany but what I’ve seen so far is really cute. My husband and I are fluent in English and have always read English books to our 3 children (ages 3, 6 & 8), but since as non native speakers we are not familiar with all the fun classic children’s books, we have missed out on Dr. Seuss so far. I was researching the books so we could buy one or the other for our family, so this whole collection would have been perfect for us ;-) . Well, I guess we’ll start out with one book then ;-) . Do you have a suggestion with which to start first? I would really appreciate your recommendation. What an awesome giveaway! Happy Dr. Seuss B-day/National Read Across America day – maks :-)

Guten Tag !!! and welcome. I speak German and have a degree in it as well. It’s so wonderful you stopped by. Well my first suggestion is Green Eggs and Ham. It was the very first book I learned how to read by myself so I’m very partial to this book. From there I would try Hop on Pop. It has easy words that your children will be able to understand and even read themselves. I love the story “The Lorax” but it might be a little difficult for your children to understand just yet as there are many invented words that even native speakers of English wonder about but the story is fantastic.

Please feel free to have a look around this site. Our booklists are wonderful resources of classic and favorite children’s books. Many of the books we’ve reviewed and offered up many activities to go along with them. Please come back again as we have these sorts of giveaways often. Enjoy Dr. Seuss and Happy Reading.
