 It’s Children’s Book Week!

Children's Book Week

Children’s Book Week is the annual celebration of books for young people and the joy of reading.

Established in 1919, Children’s Book Week is the longest-running national literacy initiative in the country. Every year, commemorative events are held nationwide at schools, libraries, bookstores, homes — wherever young readers and books connect!

Children's Book Week

In honor of Children’s Book Week Mother Daughter Book Reviews has joined forces with Youth Literature Reviews to host a fun Blog Hop in honor of Children’s Book Week. Together, these two amazing bloggers have created a dynamic and engaged community of children’s books bloggers, authors, publishers, and publicists, as well as parents seeking out their next great read.

During this next week, children’s book or teen literature bloggers, authors and publishers who desire to share copies of a fabulous book are joining together in a fun and educational giveaway(s) for fabulous children/teen’s books, gift cards, cash, or other prizes. What better way to celebrate Children’s Book Week?

  1. My daughter’s just been loving My Baby Blue Jays by John Berendt – this looks like something she & my older son would both enjoy.

  2. Not only does this sound like a fun story, I love the real photographs that show foxes behaving naturally. My students would love this I’m sure. Thanks!

  3. My boys love animals and nature, so I know they would enjoy reading this book. Thanks for the chance to win.

  4. My youngest daughter would love this book. We have a fox that is always in our back yard. She loves to sit in the window and watch him.

  5. I’d love to win this book to read to my daughter! She loves books and stories about animals.

  6. I love nature study. My daughter also loves learning about new animals. This looks like a book she would really enjoy!

  7. Oh my gosh. What a wonderful giveaway…and congratulations on the book! Kind of love it when nature and a creative spirit come together. Can’t stop smiling (trust me, my dogs think I am nuts, lol!).

  8. Valerie, great that you are participating in the giveaway hop! I’m sorry I haven’t been by lately…getting ready for the Singapore trip has kept me busy. 🙂 I leave a week from this Thursday…I can hardly believe it.
I’d love to win a copy of your book…it is absolutely beautiful…I’d love to read it myself and would love to share it with my grandchildren…they all love nature and the outdoors.

  9. I don’t think my boys have ever seen a fox but they love animals and like to read

  10. I would love to win this book to share it with my son and nieces. The pictures bring the story to life and just looking at them made me smile so I believe it would do the same for them.

Thank you for the chance to win your book.

  11. Thanks for this great giveaway. The illustrations look amazing. I grew up in rural Manitoba and we would always see foxes all around the farmland. When I go visit my Mom now though, you never see them any more. It’s so sad. Thank you for a chance to win this book – I’d love a chance to reminisce about my childhood in this way.

  12. My girls and I would love this book~ we adore foxes and I bet even our Shiba Inu would want to look at the pictures! All our neighbors always think she’s a fox, lol. Thank you for the lovely hop~

  13. We had a family of foxes on my farm. A mother and 3 young ones. It was a delight to watch them play. Thank you for sharing your beautiful book on the KidLit Blog Hop and Giveaway. Wendy co-hostess.

  14. What gorgeous photography! We have a gray fox who lives on the edge of our yard but we only catch glimpses. I’m sure those fabulous photos represent hours of waiting for the right shot!

  15. I’d love to win this because my kids would have a blast looking through the book. And my preschool class would probably get a lot out of it too 🙂

  16. Not only does this sound like a neat book, but I just love to be able to watch wildlife. We have a number of animals around us, and we’ve even seen a couple of red foxes, but nothing like you describe. Thanks for sharing on the Kid Lit Blog Hop. Cheryl – Hop Hostess
