Picture Book Month is in full swing and I am loving all of the booklists and reviews of beautiful kids’ books that are being shared on social media. I love Picture Book Month because, well…I adore picture books! You can look through any of my many Booklists for Kids and see a plethora of delightful book recommends.
But today I’d like to shine the spotlight on a certain kind of books rarely reviewed here on Jump Into a Book; Board Books for Babies.
Board books are intended for infants, babies, and toddlers so it is designed built for heavy duty use. The books themselves often consist of thick cardboard pages with rounded corners so Littles can’t get cut. It’s also durably bound and the pages are often coated so it can be cleaned. I think it’s safe to say one of the most popular Board Books for Babies of all time is Good Night Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.
There are some truly gorgeous board books available these days and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to get my hands a bunch of them from children’s book publisher, ChronicleKids.com. The quality is amazing and the topics are going to be a hit with littles!
