Providing books and activities for kids that support STEM and STEAM is a big deal these days.

But first, what is STEM and STEAM?

STEM: STEM is an educational curriculum that combines science, technology, engineering, and math. It is meant to be a comprehensive approach; instead of teaching each subject separately, educators aim to incorporate some or all elements of STEM into each project.

STEAM: Is the same as STEM, but STEAM inserts arts into the acronym for STEM (science, technology, engineering, ART and math). has a great article on how exactly can teachers fit the arts into STEM programs and do justice for both STEM and STEAM.

In the meantime, I’ve come across a plethora of amazing books, activities and links that support BOTH. Here are my top picks for a round-up of STEM and STEAM Books for Kids!
